Box Leagues

How The Box League Works:

This round of the box league shall lasts around 15 weeks to complete all matches (February 2024). Upon entering the league, you will be placed within a box based on your playing standard. This ensures that you are playing opponents of a similar tennis standard. Once all entries are in, we shall message you the names and contact details of all your opponent’s so you can arrange your matches yourself.

Match Format:

Box league matches will be played as first to x9 Games. Whoever reaches 9 games first, wins.

Usually matches can be completed within 1 hour but where possible, book additional time for your match (2hr slot). If you reach the end of your court time slot, then whoever has the most games wins. If your time expires and the match is a tie, then the match will be a draw.

It is suggested both players bring balls to the match, and on the day you decide which balls to use. Balls are sold inside the Café if you need a new set.

Promotion / Relegation

Players will gain 3 points for a match win, 2 points for a match draw and 1 point for a match loss. In the result of a tie, then the number of games won/lost will be taken into account to determine final standings in the box.

Submitting results:

Upon completion of your match, you must message the league co-ordinator (Head Coach Aaron) your results. A simple text or email message with the match result will be perfect.
